Communication, not only an essentiality of human society, is also the vehicle for all- round growth and development of life. The quantum of revolutionary changes in the communication systems of the society during the last two decades is greater than the changes that have taken place in the entire history of mankind. The concept of ‘vasudev kutumbkam’ i.e global village is now a reality. The new technologies of communication have made ‘communication from and to everywhere and anyone at anytime’ easy, simple and instant. The barriers of caste, race, nationality and language are disappearing. In its place, a web of networks has already emerged. The entire humanity is today in the ‘communication’ mode.
